I have mentioned that copper exposure has been associated with Alzheimer's. If you would like to get into the weeds on this, here is a highly technical paper: Role of Copper in the Onset of Alzheimer’s Disease Compared to Other Metals. The bottom line: the interaction of copper (and other metals) and the beta amyloid plaques implicated in Alzheimers is complex. There is evidence that these risk factors are increased with elevated copper levels. And evidence that they are decreased with copper levels. Unfortunately, science is messy.
